Description	Human herpes type 5. Sialadenitis is an inflammation of the salivary gland as a result of infection into it or a violation of salivation. With sialadenite salivary gland is more often infected through the main excretory duct, less often by lymphogenous or hematogenous pathways. Sometimes there is a transition to the chronic form of sialadenite, especially when there is a stone. Chronic sialadenitis is manifested by a progressive decrease in salivation, often by a sensation of dry mouth (see Xerostomia). The gland is enlarged, dense, painless.
