Description	Ascarids belong to nematodes — round worms. Ascarids are bisexual round large worms spindle-shaped 20-50 cm long and thick with a pencil. The cephalic end is pointed and provided with four whole "lips." In the intestines, they are held either by a spacer, or rolled into tangles in order to once straighten as a spring. Their main food is chyme (digested and prepared for absorption food mass), but they are able to feed and intestinal mucosa. The main habitat is the small intestine, life expectancy is about a year. A disease caused by ascarids is called ascaridosis. The clinic of brain damage, depending on the localization of the ascarid larvae, may be different. If they are located near the outer (meningeal) shells of the brain, then meningoencephalitis develops with migraine headaches. When the larvae are located in the depth of the furrows, compaction (granulation) may form in some areas of the medulla. As a result, there are symptoms of brain tumors: loss of consciousness, epileptiform seizures, convulsions. Localization near the optic or auditory nerve causes focal symptoms — impaired vision and deafness
